Newsletter & Computer Tips/Tricks

In this newsletter, we will be focusing on how to speed up your computer. This article will assume you are running Windows XP (home or pro versions) The first step is to remove all the files in the prefetch folder. To get to the prefetch folder, do the following. Click on the start button then click on run, in the run dialog box type prefetch

then hit enter. After you hit enter, a folder view will open up.

Click on edit, then click on select all, then click on file, and delete. Windows will confirm you want to delete these.

Hit Yes...All the files will go to your recycle bin.

The next step is a bit more complicated. We will remove all cookies, temp files, and temporary internet files.

To accomplish this we have a batch file available.

This batch file will only work if your using Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP (home/pro) or Microsoft Windows 2003

To get the batch file go here: Batch File

You will need Winrar to extract the batch file. The latest version of free winrar can be found here: Winrar

Download the Batch file, extract it, and run it.

This file is offered as is, with no warranties. It does work very well.

Please ask any questions about this file before running it. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged data on your computer(s).

We will be happy to answer any questions about this file for you.
